Synopsis

Senlin was born a squinter. A child of the foster system, the lack of love has left him with casual views on sex.
When Sicong recruits him into SQX, a squinter organization, Senlin wants nothing more than to jump his bones, but Sicong’s detachment makes Senlin believe his feelings aren’t reciprocated.
Senlin and Sicong’s relationship begins to grow as they undertake missions together.
That is, until an enemy of SQX turns his attention upon them.
Excerpt
WE WALKED TO the
gallery, since it wasn’t far. When we were almost there, Sicong suddenly hugged
me sideways around the waist and pulled me close. I looked at him, puzzled by
the sudden intimacy, and he turned to me with this big grin. On him it
looked... brilliant, just brilliant. I had never seen him smile like that, and
the radiant smile made him look younger and more approachable. He had always
been that icy-cool person, void of emotions, and so mysterious I dared not talk
to him; but now, with the smile, he made me see that he was a person who was
able to love and hate—love rather than hate I hoped. Someone always ready to strike up a
conversation. He stopped walking and did exactly that.
“What? What is it?
Anything on my face?”
“Yeah, that grin.” I
spoke my thoughts before I realized it, and he stopped smiling. “No, I mean it
in a good way. I love that smile. Please, keep it on.”
He smiled again, now
self-conscious. “The way you were staring at me, I thought it looked weird.”
“It’s good. Though it is
weird since you don’t smile a lot.” I glanced at him again with the same
smile. “You are incredibly handsome.”
